Used from about 1986-1996
This was the first Alternator to be used by GM. Replacing the SI series Alternators.
The CS130 alternator was intended to be a "throw away alternator" in other word it was never intended to be rebuilt but the automotive aftermarket rebuilt them anyway. the cs130 is a very compact alternator and if you do not have a high electricaldemand they are a good alternator because of there small size, but they are not good for high demand situations.
